The creation

Frederic wanted to develop a chocolate that is surprising, elegant and perfectly balanced. The result is a masterpiece in which the full, toasted flavour of hazelnut praliné merges with the slightly bitter, grassy notes of matcha tea. A coating of chocolate finishes it off with a soft crunch and a deep cocoa flavour that enhances the other ingredients.

The origins of matcha

Matcha is a finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea leaves from Japan. The tradition of matcha dates back to the 12th century, where it was used by Buddhist monks for meditation and concentration. Shady growing conditions and manual harvesting ensure a particularly concentrated flavour and vibrant green colour. Matcha is known not only for its unique flavour, but also for its health-promoting properties, such as antioxidants and amino acids.
